Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Landscape Maintenance to lead and inspire our maintenance teams in beautiful Marin County. This managerial position is ideal for a landscape professional with strong organizational, leadership, and horticultural expertise who can oversee high-quality maintenance services for a range of residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Supervise and support multiple landscape maintenance teams, ensuring all operations are efficient and high-quality.
- Client Relations: Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and proactively addressing client needs and requests.
- Operations Oversight: Oversee scheduling, budgets, quality control, and resource allocation to optimize service delivery.
- Employee Development: Train and mentor staff members to build a skilled and motivated maintenance team.
- Safety and Compliance: Implement safety protocols, monitor compliance with regulatory standards, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot any issues that arise, from irrigation to client concerns, to maintain smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, with at least 2-4 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, landscape maintenance techniques, irrigation systems.
- Possess and utilize good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees and management.
- Ability to effectively manage budgets and schedules.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish-English.
- Bachelor's degree in the Agricultural Sciences or equivalent and two years of technical field experience.
Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various outdoor environments and weather.
- Exposure to dust, pollen, noise and pollutants related to the landscape industry (fertilizer, pesticide, etc).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Possess a valid California drivers' license with a driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.
