Job Description: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of shipping operations at our wholesale greenhouse facility. The Shipping Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate shipment of orders while maintaining high standards of efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations, including scheduling, invoicing, and loading/unloading trucks.
Collaborate with other departments to prioritize shipments based on customer orders and inventory levels.
Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Monitor shipping costs and negotiate contracts with carriers to optimize freight rates.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, such as damaged products or delivery delays.
Implement process improvements to streamline shipping operations and reduce costs.
Prepare regular reports on shipping activities, including performance metrics and KPIs.

Requirements:

Proven experience (1 year) as a Shipping Manager or similar role, preferably in a wholesale or distribution environment.
Strong knowledge of shipping and logistics processes.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency in shipping operations.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, external suppliers, and carriers.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
Knowledge of flowers preferred.
