Construction Manager

We are in search of an energetic and professional Individual who will guide and coordinate the day-to-day operations for the design-build construction projects we complete throughout the Southern Adirondack and adjacent Vermont region. In this pivotal role, the Construction Manager will direct and keep the pulse of our various construction teams, working with our teams to foster a culture of teamwork, responsibility & efficiency, and be a leader by example with clear and open communications.

Accountabilities:

Key Accountability Statement: The Construction Manager will lead all construction project scheduling, resource acquisition, resource logistics, team member scheduling, project work-flows, and other variables relate to project safety, efficiency and profitability.

Proactively facilitate daily and constant communication between the Operations Manager, the Project Designer, and the Project Team Leaders in the field.

Possess a complete understanding of the vision contained in each project, along with the client’s unique expectations. Proactively initiate a collaborative relationship with each client to the end of 100% customer satisfaction.

Maintain a complete understanding of the labor, materials, equipment, and logistics that will be required to successfully complete each project and to continually adjust /finesse the delegation of these resources as conditions change.

Proactively work closely with the Operations Manager to develop weekly and monthly schedules, delegate team members dynamically, constantly updated and change schedule as necessary.

Proactively work with the Operations Manager and Project Designer to obtain all accurate and relevant materials lists, plans, drawings, shop drawings, and other resources required for project completion.

Lead and foster a culture of communication, honesty, collaboration, accomplishment, and safety within your construction teams.

The Successful Candidate Will:

-be capable of assuming a high level of personal ownership & involvement in all the company’s efforts

-demonstrate past success in team building, team leadership, and project profitability

-have a long history of personal honesty, integrity, and professionalism

-have 6+ years of experience in a similar role in the landscaping and/or the construction industry

-be open, ready and able to physically work alongside our team members as required-possess. A strong background in financial management, including budgeting and bookkeeping

-possess excellent organizational and project management skills

-show proficiency with job cost/project management software & the ability to learn new platforms

Position Specifics

The position is a year-round salaried position

Standard week is M-F with some Saturday mornings as required

Company truck/vehicle provided

The standard work area covers an approximately 50-mile radius around Glens Falls, NY.

Job is approximately 80% fieldwork/on-site: 20% in-office
